Resumen

The posterior fossa Arteriovenous Malformations (AVMs) constitute less than 20% of all AVMs. Approximately two thirds of the posterior fossa AVMs are located within the cerebellum. In general arterial and venous aneurisms consititute a frequent associated anomaly in AMVs structures, even though only 27 cases with Posterior Inferior Cerebellar Artery (PICA) aneurysms associated with AVMs have been reported since the first case described in 1956. All of these cases demonstrated arterial aneurysms. To our knowledge this is the first case reported in the literature demonstrating an AVM fed by the PICA associated with an Inferior Vermian Vein (IVV) aneurysm.
