As a member of the Executive Editorial Committee of this journal in 1999, I was asked to review the posthumous tribute to a who was lucky not to know, but for its virtues academic highlighted between those who shared with him, I mean the TM. Carlos Gaule Pizarro. Who would have imagined that over time should, this time, do so directly with a great friend and colleague, Víctor Mario Muñoz Flores. Although, as expressed in his farewell, as I remember it definitely never be absent or missing, it is nevertheless the knowledge that no longer have any presence in the College in each of the many activities in which participated, either as President of the National Council (1998-2000), member of the Specialties Department, co-creator of the Tecmed Magazine; perennial collaborator of Chilean Medical Technology Journal with numerous research articles, to the point that we left some in the review process for subsequent editions, Chile Board Advisory member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology, Treasurer and Director of the Chilean Society of Parasitology, member of the Organizing Committee of XV Chilean Congress of Medical Technology, and ultimately, President of Electoral Court of the College, in which charges all complied fully and dedicated.
