Resumen

Gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST) are a rare group of lesions, but represent the most common type of stromal or mesenchymal tumors affecting the gastrointestinal tract. We presented a case of a 44 year old male with a recurrence of GIST and widespread intra abdominal metastasis despite previous resection with adjuvant radiation and chemotherapy.
