Resumen

Multimodal intraoperative monitoring (IOM) of the spinal cord comprises several neurophysiologic techniques, which applied continuously throughout the surgery, have been proved to decrease the risk of neurological deficit in spinal surgery. Available techniques for IOM of the spinal cord include those used for monitor the functional integrity of the spinal pathways and those used for identification of spinal neural structures during surgery. In this case report, we present four illustrative patients with different type and location of spinal tumors that were monitored with the most common monitoring methods used in today’s multimodal IOM of the spinal cord.
