Latin America and the Caribbean, within its vast territorial area, is contemplated as a region of great cultural, economic and social diversity; nevertheless with particular conditions giving it a special affinity. The First Latin-American Bioethics Forum has provided the occasion for the meeting of a group of experts in transplants interested in the analysis of the complex circumstances that surround the performing of transplants at this present time.
